2022 SMRC Knockhill Round 6

Scottish Mini Cooper Cup

After a difficult season plagued with bad luck, Neil Hose showed his true class in challenging conditions, taking the double victory in style during the last round of the Scottish Championship at Knockhill.

Michael Weddell did enough to hold off Chad little to secure a successful defence of his title.

Neil said,

“ Its been a roller coaster of a year as we set out to challenge for the title. From pole at the first race, to three wins over the last two rounds, we definitely had the pace.”

“Unfortunately we also had way more than our fair share of bad luck throughout the year, with too many DNF’s as a result of contact from other drivers. This had an obvious impact on our championship resulting in a disappointing P4.”

“All in all its great to finish the season on a high, that feeling of winning a hard fought race is something you never forget and when racing is in your blood thats what keeps you coming back for more."

“Thanks to all the fans, family and friends who come along to enjoy the action and cheer us on and to all the marshals and officials for dedicating their free time to keep us all safe.”

“Thank you to all my sponsors this year, my race team ALM Ltd, the championship sponsors and the Scottish Motor Racing Club for organising these great events”

“Huge thanks to my wife and my kids for coming along to all the races and supporting me and encouraging me to follow my passion. Love you guys eternally.”

“so now the hard work begins to make the grid for 2023 as there are big plans in the pipeline”
