2023 Knockhill

Modsports Class A

After taking some time away from his mini racing to focus on work commitments, Neil Hose made stunning return to form driving Ron Cumming’s rapid Vauxhall red top powered Nemesis in the Modified Sports and saloons Class at Knockhill last weekend.

Having never sat in the car before qualifying on the Saturday Neil jumped in the car to head out reverse direction and was immediately setting the pace clinching pole position with a low 51 second lap.

Things couldn’t have went better when he followed that up with a win and lap record in the race, later that day.

With the race meeting taking a twist on the Sunday as the circuit direction was switched to clockwise, Ron Cumming was first out in the car and showed how its done taking a stunning win from the back of the grid.

It was Neils turn for race 2 and he didn’t disappoint with another lights to flag victory and again setting a new class lap record for the clockwise direction.

“As far as racing weekends go this has to be up there with my best. It all came to together very last minute when Ron asked if I wanted to drive his car. Not wanting to miss such an exciting opportunity I decided to go for it and everything came together last minute”

“ I’d just like to say a huge thanks to my friend and racing legend Ron cumming for the offer to drive his awesome racecar”
