Staring the season with a 2nd place and Driver Of The Day
Qualifying - P6
With only hundredths of a second splitting 4 cars ahead it was always going to be tough racing as the Mini Championship is always renowned for.
Race 1 - P9
Bad start on the outside line into turn one put me back to 8th place but then fought back to join the battle for the 3rd step on the podium before having a big off at Duffus dip. Lucky to escape with no damage and rejoined to finish 9th.
Race 2 - P5
Engine changed for the second race which proved to be the right call making a noticeable difference.
Starting from 8th (finishing position from Race 1) battled up to 5th.
Race 3 (Reverse Grid) - P2
This time starting from 4th and moved up through to second closing the gap to the leader but ran out of laps to make the move for the win
All in all a solid start to the racing season for the first round of the Scottish Mini Cooper Championship ending the day with a 2nd place and Driver of the Day.
Massive thank you to my team ALM LTD who did an outstanding job on the car changing the engine between races.
Really happy we came away with the fastest race pace at the end of the day and are ready to chase that win at the next round.
