Another win for Championship Leader Michael Weddell whilst Neil Hose takes a double podium.

The SMRC Mini Cooper class provided some fantastic racing in extreme temperatures at Cadwell Park. Michael Weddell taking the top step and gaining valuable points towards his championship defence whilst Neil Hose turned around his early season misfortunes with a double podium.

Hose said,’ after qualifying 3rd we had three solid races with two podiums and a 4th. This track is great fun to drive, although difficult due to the long races and extreme temperatures. Having limited testing here, it was important to secure some good championship points whilst bringing the car home for the final two rounds at Knockhill. Huge thanks to my team for giving me a great car and my sponsors for their continued support.”

The championship returns North of the border next month for the penultimate round at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife.
